The Silver-Winged Horse
Once upon a time, in a land far, far away — beyond tall mountains and lush forests — there was a village surrounded by meadows filled with wildflowers. In this village lived a young shepherd known for his bravery. His name was Ali.
Every day, while watching over his sheep, Ali would gaze up at the sky and watch the birds fly. He often dreamed of seeing a horse soaring through the sky one day.
One day, while wandering through the forest, Ali met an old dervish. The dervish’s eyes sparkled with wisdom. As Ali approached, he noticed the dervish looked tired, so he kindly offered him some water and bread. The dervish smiled gratefully and said:
“My child, you have a pure heart. Because you fed me, I will share a secret with you. Beyond that mountain lives a horse that shines like silver at night. It is as fast as the wind and as free as the birds. If you can tame it, it will take you wherever you wish. But remember, it takes great patience to catch it.”
Ali thanked the dervish with excitement and set off immediately. When he reached the mountain peak, he saw a magnificent horse glowing like silver in the moonlight. The horse had wings, and its fur sparkled like the stars.
As Ali tried to approach, the horse flew off as swiftly as the wind. For three nights, Ali waited patiently. He observed the horse carefully, trying to earn its trust.
At last, on the fourth night, the silver-winged horse came to Ali on its own. Ali gently reached out and touched it. The horse knelt down and let him climb on its back.
Suddenly, they soared into the sky. They flew higher and higher, even up to the moon. As Ali flew over his village, he felt his heart beating fast with excitement.
Then he remembered — he needed to make a wish. He closed his eyes and whispered:
“May no one in my land ever go hungry. May everyone be happy.”
When the silver-winged horse brought Ali back to the village, something had changed. The land became more fertile, the animals grew healthier, and the people began to live happier lives.
Ali kept this secret in his heart for the rest of his life.
