Arda and the Neighbor Aunt
Once upon a time, in a small neighborhood, there lived a kind-hearted boy named Arda. Every morning on his way to school, he would see an old lady smiling at him from the window of a wooden house on the corner. Everyone in the neighborhood called her “Aunt Gül.”
One day, Arda’s mother told him that Aunt Gül was getting older and could no longer go to the market or do her housework easily. When Arda heard this, he immediately came up with a plan.
The next afternoon, as soon as he got home from school, he gathered his friends and suggested helping Aunt Gül. The children cleaned her garden, and Arda went to the market with his mother to buy the groceries she needed. Finally, they brought her a bowl of hot tarhana soup that his mother had made.
Aunt Gül’s eyes filled with tears at this surprise. She hugged Arda and said, “My dear child, kindness grows when shared. You haven’t just helped me—you’ve done the greatest kindness for yourselves. May your hearts always stay this pure.”
From that day on, everyone in the neighborhood started helping each other more. Arda and his friends learned that kindness wasn’t just a one-time act but something that should continue every day.
This story shows how even the smallest act of kindness can
bring great happiness. If you’d like to use this story for your project or
