Once upon a time, there were two friendly birds flying freely in the blue sky in a sieve of straw. One of these birds was called Boncuk the sparrow, and the other was called Kara the eagle. Although they were very different species, they managed to become very good friends. They would race with the wind together and watch the most beautiful views at sunset.
One day, Boncuk got bored and invited his friend Kara to fly. Kara accepted the offer with great pleasure and they started to fly freely in the blue sky. Kara asked, “Shall we climb the mountain across together?” Boncuk asked, “Isn’t that very high up?” Kara said, “Don’t be afraid Boncuk, I’m with you.” Boncuk trusted her friend and they started to fly together towards the top of the mountain. But a big storm broke out in the middle of the road. The wind was so strong that Boncuk lost her balance in the air and started to fall down! Kara was so scared when he saw his friend that he quickly dived into the clouds and hid. Boncuk calmed himself by closing his wings and trying to float with the wind. Believing in his own strength, he held on to a tree branch and waited for the storm to pass. After the storm passed, Kara came down and asked Boncuk, “My friend, what did the wind tell you?” The little one replied with a smile, “The wind told me that real friends should never leave each other alone in difficult times.” Kara was very embarrassed to hear these words.
From that day on, he understood true friendship and promised to never leave Boncuk alone. From then on, no matter what storm came, the two friends were always by each other’s side.
